Areas of concentration include Cultural Epidemiology, Health Education, Health Behaviour, Adolescent Health, Social Psychology, Health Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Medical Anthropology, Gender, Feminism, Theories of Sociology/Psychology and Sexuality.
His vast experience in teaching and Jield work has enabled him to develop a holistic approach and understanding of the cultural, psychological & global contexts and determinants of social and epidemiological indicators in a population.
Gul's work experience includes involvement as a Project Coordinator and Consultant with international organizations, i.e. WHO, UNICEF, Oxfam GB and national organisations and work with stakeholders like District Health OfJicer, Paramedics, NGOs, Civil Society Organizations, and Tribal & Religious heads; along with consultants from EMRO, WHO.
At University level, he has represented the Postgraduate, Research and Innovation Committees, Admission Panel, Scholarships Award Committee, Sports Committee, etc.
Baloch is recipient of many research grants, as the Lead and Co-investigator, from both internal and external organizations such as United Nations University.

Keynote Speaker in International conferences, reviewing articles and has been on the editorial board of international journals, including SAGE Open, UK & Haliyon, UK.
